Johnson County Methodist pastor Adam Hamilton is leading the Democratic field for U.S. Senate by 17 percentage points, according to new internal polling obtained by the Sunflower State Journal.
The poll by the Hamilton campaign shows him with support from 30% of the 600 likely Kansas Democratic primary voters polled from July 13 to 16. The primary is Aug. 4.
He was followed by Christy Davis with support from 13% of those polled, veteran Noah Taylor with 10% and state Sen Patrick Schmidt of Topeka with 5%. Kansas City, Kansas developer Erik Murray was at 2%.
