Gov. Laura Kelly on Friday signed a bill that preserves a state tax credit created to encourage construction of affordable housing in Kansas.
On the last day of the legislative session, lawmakers passed a bill that scaled back a program that was targeted for elimination because of cost. The bill passed 98-23 in the House and 33-7 in the Senate.
