Gov. Laura Kelly has signed a bill expanding a tax credit for businesses that invest in child-care facilities for their employees or contribute money to community organizations that expand child-care options.
The bill signed by the governor creates a more streamlined tax credit that's intended to be easier to access and is more generous than a tax credit that's already on the books but rarely used because it's confusing.
