Governor names Rooker executive director of Children’s Cabinet

Gov. Laura Kelly on Thursday named former state Rep. Melissa Rooker as the new executive director of the Kansas Children’s Cabinet and Trust Fund.

The governor also named Kim Moore as the new chair of the agency, which has an operations budget of $1.6 million and doles out another $19 million for various children's programs across the state.
