The Kansas Republican Party has lodged an ethics complaint against Democratic Kansas House candidate Joana Scholtz, claiming she distributed campaign material without the appropriate disclaimer.
The Kansas GOP said it submitted two emails, a fundraising letter and a campaign video that were circulated without the appropriate candidate disclaimers.
The complaint also points out Scholtz's Facebook page fails to include a disclaimer.
The GOP said ethics law bars state candidates from using political ads without including a statement showing who paid for or sponsored the ad as well as the treasurer or chair of the campaign.
