The campaign of a Republican House candidate started collapsing Wednesday as two major groups pulled their support for her in House District 41 in Leavenworth County because of questions about her background.
A spokesperson for The Republican House Campaign Committee said it would not support Ann Reinhart in her bid for the House seat now held by outgoing Republican state Rep. Pat Proctor, who is running for secretary of state.
Also late Thursday, the Kansas Chamber of Commerce, one of the state's leading business organizations, withdrew its support for Reinhart in her race against Democrat Jeff Pittman, a former . . .
