Former Democratic state Rep. Harold Lane of Topeka, who served more than a dozen years in the Kansas House, has died at 70.
Lane, who represented House District 58 from 2003 to 2015, died June 22 at Midland Care Hospice House, according to his obituary.
"Known for his ornery sense of humor, Harold had a knack for sharing jokes that brought joy to those around him," the obituary said.
"He was the type of man who never met a stranger, always ready to forge new friendships and connect with others . . .
