The political action committee for the Kansas Farm Bureau on Monday morning came out in support of former Attorney General Derek Schmidt in the GOP primary for the 2nd District congressional race.
The PAC chose Schmidt over major Republican candidates Jeff Kahrs, a top adviser to outgoing U.S. Rep. Jake LaTurner; and Shawn Tiffany, a feedlot owner and former president of the Kansas Livestock Association.
"From his time in the Legislature and as attorney general, Derek Schmidt has proven he’s a friend of agriculture,” Farm Bureau President Joe Newland said in a statement . . .
