Leading evangelical author James Dobson returned to Kansas politics Tuesday with an endorsement of Republican Attorney General Derek Schmidt for governor.
Dobson, who has frequently endorsed conservative candidates across the country, said he was backing Schmidt for "protecting traditional values like religious freedom, the sanctity of human life, and the rule of law."
"For years, I have joined millions of people across America in praying that God would raise-up leaders to restore this great nation," Dobson said in a letter released by the Schmidt campaign.
