UPDATED: Democrats lodge residency objection against Republican candidate

An objection challenging the residency of a Johnson County Kansas House candidate was filed with the secretary of state's office Tuesday morning.

State Rep. Vic Miller, the attorney for Democratic candidate Deann Mitchell, is asking the state Objections Board to remove Republican Adam Thomas from the ballot in the race for House District 26 in Olathe.

The objection comes a couple months after Miller asked the Johnson County district attorney's office to conduct a criminal investigation . . .
