Among the observers watching Saturday's Democratic gubernatorial debate at the Topeka Ramada was Washburn University political scientist Bob Beatty.
Beatty shared these observations with statewide media following the forum, first by asking why it took so long for anyone to mention the opposition, especially conservative Secretary of State Kris Kobach, Gov. Jeff Colyer or his predecessor, former Gov. Sam Brownback.
