Conservative political consultant Kris Van Meteren is making another attempt to organize the No Labels political party but is running into resistance from the secretary of state.
Van Meteren signed paperwork on Sept. 7 to form the No Labels Kansas Party Inc., but the secretary of state's office rejected the statement of organization because it didn't meet the legal prerequisites for starting a new party.
