The House on Thursday agreed to a compromise ethics bill after the governor's office stepped in to ease an escalating conflict and help find areas of agreement.
The House voted 119-3 to approve a bill that addresses mostly matters of due process and leaves other weighty matters for an interim legislative committee to take up.
