In the first informal test of Republican Party support for the 2026 governor's race, former Gov. Jeff Colyer and Senate President Ty Masterson split straw polls held by Kansans for Life's political action committee.
Masterson prevailed in straw poll held Saturday night closer to home in Wichita, according to the PAC's posting on Facebook. Colyer won the PAC's straw poll held Sept 5. closer to his home in the Kansas City area.
