Former Republican Gov. Jeff Colyer, who bowed out of the governor's race after not getting President Donald Trump's endorsement, came out Tuesday in favor of the rival who did get the president's support.
Colyer on Tuesday announced via Masterson's campaign that he would support Senate President Ty Masterson in his bid for governor.
Colyer chose Masterson over the other major candidates in the race, including Johnson County businessman Philip Sarnecki, Secretary of State Scott Schwab and Insurance Commissioner Vicki Schmidt.
