City: Judge didn’t take action against ICE agents

A Manhattan city judge did not take action to remove federal immigration agents from her courtroom who were waiting to arrest an illegal immigrant scheduled for a hearing, according to city officials.

Manhattan City Manager Danielle Dulin told U.S. Attorney Ryan Kriegshauser that Municipal Judge Sarah Barr did not ask court security to respond to the agents' presence in her courtroom on Dec. 4.

Dulin said the city hired outside legal counsel to conduct an investigation and review of the Dec. 4, 2025, arrest at the Manhattan Municipal Court.
