Six Kansas cites, including five of the state's largest, are asking Gov. Laura Kelly to veto a bill giving Attorney General Kris Kobach oversight of local governments that bring class-action lawsuits similar to litigation seeking damages from vaping and opioid abuse.

The cities of Overland Park, Olathe, Wichita, Topeka, Lawrence and Bel Aire sent a letter . . .
