Health-care administrator vying for open House seat

For the third time in 15 months, Republicans will have to pick someone to fill a vacant spot representing Johnson County in the Kansas Legislature.

A special meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 15 to fill the seat vacated by state Rep. Larry Campbell, now serving as Gov. Jeff Colyer’s budget director.

Campbell represented House District 26, which covers part of southern Olathe and extends into a small part of Miami County.

The meeting to select Campbell’s replacement will be held at 7 p.m. at Hilltop Elementary School in Olathe.
