Sedgwick County Republican precinct leaders on Wednesday night picked former state Rep. Steve Brunk to replace Republican state Rep. Patrick Penn in the Kansas House.
Penn represents House District 85 but is stepping down June 13 to take a job as the deputy undersecretary for Food and Nutrition Service at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
