Brown gets last-minute cash boost in secretary of state’s race

Former Johnson County Commissioner Mike Brown is riding a last-minute cash infusion into his campaign for secretary of state after signing a national pledge promising to limit ballot drop boxes and requiring prospective voters to show proof of citizenship.

The Election Integrity PAC spent $61,000 on behalf of Brown in his quest to upset Secretary of State Scott Schwab in the Republican primary campaign for secretary of state, state campaign records show.
