BREAKING: Judge temporarily blocks law repealing grace period for mail ballots

A Douglas County judge on Thursday morning issued a temporary injunction that effectively keeps in place for now a three-day grace period for mail ballots to arrive at election offices after Election Day in Kansas.

District Judge Carl Folsom III issued a temporary order  that freezes the state from applying a 2025 law that eliminated the grace period for upcoming elections as the litigation continues to play out in court.
