Democrats appeared to be unifying behind state Sen. Barbara Bollier in the race for the U.S. Senate on Thursday when rival Barry Grissom suddenly ended his campaign and endorsed the lawmaker.
Grissom announced his decision to leave the 2020 Democratic primary at about 11 a.m., a day after Bollier announced she was running for the U.S. Senate. He announced his support for Bollier immediately.
