Republican state Sen. Kellie Warren on Thursday shored up her conservative base in the race for Kansas attorney general when she won the endorsement of Americans for Prosperity.
AFP is backing Warren in the Republican primary over former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach and former federal prosecutor Tony Mattivi.
The winner would likely face Lawrence attorney Chris Mann, the only Democrat to announce a candidacy for attorney general so far.
