ACA enrollment in Kansas falls almost 4% after tax credits expire

Fewer Kansans enrolled in an insurance plan available from the Affordable Care Act following the expiration of enhanced tax credits intended to offset premium costs.

As the deadline for enrolling in an ACA plan passed at midnight Jan. 15, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services reported that 192,811 Kansans had signed up for a health insurance plan through the exchanges.

The enrollment numbers released last week were about 3.6% - or 7,235 - below theSSJ
