Despite an adversarial Supreme Court and a vote turning back a constitutional amendment on abortion, more than 1,000 people rallied in front of the Capitol Tuesday to show their commitment to "restore a culture of life" to Kansas.
The annual rally came after abortion opponents won a historical victory last summer when the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
But they lost a month later when Kansas voters rejected a constitutional amendment removing the right to an abortion from the state constitution.
Meanwhile, abortion opponents in Kansas still face the legal implications of a 2019 state Supreme . . .
