Outgoing Republican Congressman Jake LaTurner will set aside politics later this week when his second term representing the Kansas 2nd Congressional District comes to an end Friday.
LaTurner will return home to Kansas where he will spend time watching his four kids - now ages 13, 12, 10 and 8 - grow up.
As LaTurner said when he surprised many last spring when he announced he would not seek reelection, Congress had taken a toll.
Refusing to let his children's lives pass him by, LaTurner will return to Topeka where he can engage in the ebb and flow of their daily . . .
