Democratic attorney general Chris Mann early Wednesday morning claimed victory over Republican incumbent Kris Kobach in the race for attorney general with all precincts counted.
"I’m proud to have earned the trust of so many Kansans,” Mann said in a statement.
"As attorney general, I will show up for the people of Kansas every day, fighting to keep our communities safe and hold bad actors accountable,” he said.
With all precincts counted, Mann led Kobach 51% to 49%, or 11,288 votes out of a little more than 1 million counted, according to complete but unofficial results.
