Democrats running for U.S. Senate, Congress and governor on Monday demanded that their Republican rivals stand up to President Donald Trump after he called for a U.S. boycott of jet manufacturer Bombardier until it starts making its products in the United States.
Bombardier's U.S. headquarters is based in Wichita and employs more than 3,000 people in the U.S. in nine major facilities, including about 1,200 in Kansas. Two of those Republicans said they were committed to protecting the aviation industry in Kansas.
