Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach and the city of Haysville have reached an agreement for the municipality to pay a fine for an open records violation.
Kobach said the city will pay a $250 fine after investigators concluded the city violated the law by failing to produce copies of photographs requested by a citizen without providing any explanation as to why those records were not produced.
The city agreed to a consent order requiring to it pay the fine, and officials will receive training in complying with the open records law.
