Republicans from the 1st Congressional District have censured Republican U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran for supporting a $1.7 trillion spending plan that Congress passed as last year came to an end.
Holding their biannual organizational meeting in Hutchinson over the weekend, the Kansas Republican Party's 1st Congressional District Committee passed a resolution admonishing Moran for supporting the "Democrats and their omnibus spending bill."
