Senate President Susan Wagle said Sunday night that lawmakers won't respond to the state's Supreme Court ruling on abortion until next year.
In an appearance on a radio show hosted by former Republican state Rep. John Whitmer, Wagle said for the first time publicly that any effort to amend the Constitution won't be undertaken until the next legislative session.
