Democratic gubernatorial candidate Josh Svaty turned to a former Blackhawk helicopter pilot and Manhattan school board member to be his running mate for lieutenant governor.
Svaty this morning named Katrina Gier Lewison - a recipient of the purple heart after surviving a hand grenade attack - as his running mate as he embarked on two-day, 11-city tour that kicked off in Topeka.
