Lawmakers were home last week, but that didn't mean there was a shortage of political news in Kansas.

The week ended with Senate President Susan Wagle asking the attorney general to seek judicial resolution of a dispute over whether Gov. Laura Kelly can still appoint someone to fill an open seat on the Kansas Court of Appeals after she pulled her nomination. Friday also was marked by a Twitter fight between state Sen. Gene Suellentrop and state Treasurer Jake . . .
