Back from Vegas where we spent way too much money to see two shows at The Sphere — The Eagles and “The Wizard of Oz.” Not really a big Vegas fan, but The Sphere — designed by the Kansas City architecture firm Populous — is an experience unlike any other venue we have ever been in. It puts you right in the middle of the tornado that swept Dorothy out of Kansas into Oz. And it makes the Wicked Witch of the West even more wicked on the 270-degree screen in the state-of-the-art, $2.3 billion . . .
