Good morning everyone:

Without Gov. Laura Kelly, last week would have been a dull news week. But the governor vetoed seven bills Thursday and Friday, leading to a flurry of headlines. The vetoes were mostly anticipated, leaving a lot of speculation about whether the governor will make a bold — if not historic — move and veto the entire budget for fiscal years 2021 and 2022 because it doesn't include education funding.

If the governor vetoes the budget — and there's reason to think why she could — expect it to escalate tensions with Republicans in the Legislature who are already chomping . . .
