Last week was marked by some sad news out of western Kansas when state Rep. Russ Jennings of Lakin announced he wouldn't seek reelection next year because of a cancer diagnosis. The reaction to the news was overwhelming on social media. His contributions — especially in the area of corrections and criminal justice — won't be forgotten at the statehouse.
