Good morning everyone:
We left the Taylor Swift era for one night last week, stepping back a couple of generations to see songwriter Jimmy Webb at a Kansas City venue. Some of you are likely familiar with some of Webb's hits, namely the songs he wrote for Glen Campbell many years ago: "Wichita Lineman," "By the Time I Get to Phoenix" and "Galveston." A couple of takeaways: the hit he wrote for the Fifth Dimension — "Up, Up and Away" — is not about drugs. It's about balloons. And if there was any doubt, "Galveston" is an anti-war song . . .
