Sports wagering companies spending nearly half million in House races

A group bankrolled by sports betting platforms but bills itself as the "American Conservative Fund" has spent nearly a half million dollars on eight Kansas House primaries this year, campaign records show.

The American Conservative Fund reported spending $486,070 on House primaries this year, including six incumbents facing Republican challengers on Aug. 4.

The most money is going into the 101st House District where the primary pits Wichita police captain Casey Slaughter against marina owner SSJ
