Special session: Senate ‘basically already there’ on signatures; unclear in House

Senate President Ty Masterson said Monday that he's "basically already there" collecting the signatures needed to call a special session to principally draw new election boundaries for members of Congress.

Masterson also is now opening the door for at least the Senate to consider other issues in the special session beyond redistricting and preventing transgender Kansans from changing their gender markers on driver's licenses.

It's not known whether the House will follow suit.
