The state's social service agency is drawing fire from a conservative group for guidance it sent to foster care agencies about how LGBTQ children should be treated.
The Department for Children and Families sent draft guidelines to 47 placement agencies spelling out that foster care homes should not impose traditional gender roles on LGBTQ youth.
The guidelines said, "LGBTQ youth should be placed in homes that respect their identities."
The agency is "committed to ensuring the safety and well being of all youth, including lesbian, gay . . .
