Senators on Monday dug in on their position on a property tax appraisal cap, gutting a House proposal and replacing it with their own that they already passed.
The Senate tax committee passed a constitutional amendment that the full chamber already approved on Feb. 6 that would cap property appraisals at 3% for tax purposes.
It goes to the full Senate, which already approved the bill last month on a 28-11 vote.
