Doll resigns from committee assignments

Republican State Sen. John Doll resigned his committee assignments a day after it was announced he was leaving the GOP to run on independent Greg Orman's ticket for governor this year.

As part of the Republican majority in the Senate, Doll served on the Education, Ethics, Transportation and Ways & Means Committees.

He will be replaced as vice chair by Republican Sen. Larry Alley of Winfield on the Education Committee. Sen. Bruce Givens of El Dorado will move onto . . .
