A Senate committee on Tuesday recommended confirmation of two new members of the newly reconfigured parole board but set aside the governor's nominee for the Board of Indigent Defense Services.
The Senate Committee on Confirmation Oversight recommended former Republican lawmaker Greg Smith and Victor Braden, a former prosecutor for the Kansas attorney general's office who led the criminal division during the tenure of three attorneys general.
