Shawnee City Council member Angela Stiens announced Wednesday that she would seek the House District 39 seat that will come open with Republican Owen Donohoe's resignation.
“The people of District 39 are asking for tax reductions on their property, their income, and their Social Security," Stiens said in a statement.
"They want government at all levels to work for them, not the other way around.
"That has been my approach as city councilwoman, and that will be my approach as state representative," she said . . .
