A potential new candidate has surfaced to run for a House seat in Lawrence with political observers watching the Democratic incumbent.
Suzanne Wikle, who has a deep background in Medicaid access and children's health policy, has appointed a treasurer to run for House District 10.
The seat is now represented by Christina Haswood, who was first elected to the Kansas House in 2020 after winning a three-person Democratic primary with 71% of the vote.
