Olson won’t seek fourth term in Senate


Republican state Sen. Rob Olson of Olathe doesn't plan to seek a fourth term in the Kansas Senate, bringing an end to what will be a 20-year career in the Legislature.

Olson, 53, told the Sunflower State Journal on Monday morning that he planned not to seek reelection to Senate District 23. He will serve out his term, which ends in 2025.

"I've been doing this a long time," Olson said.

"At the end of this term, I'll have been up here 20 years. It's just time for me to give what I have given . . .
