A Republican and a Democrat are lining up to take on Republican state Sen. Rob Olson in Senate District 23.
Republican real estate broker Chris Lengquist has filed to run against Olson, who is going into the last year of his second full term in the Senate.
Lengquist works for Ad Astra Realty, which specializes in property management in the Kansas City area and Lawrence.
He also worked for Keller Williams Realty and owned a portrait studio in Olathe. He also attended the University of Kansas.
