A new Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate in Kansas is emerging as a likely challenger to Republican incumbent Roger Marshall in 2026.
Sandy Spidel Neumann, a retired executive from Ameriprise Financial Services, has been looking at joining the race and an official announcement is expected soon.
"Sandy's taking a hard look at the Kansas Senate race," a source close to the candidate said Tuesday. "She's got the resume, the network and fundraising chops to make it real."
