National GOP Hispanic group urges Kansas Republicans to drop rules change

A group billing itself as the largest conservative Hispanic organization in the country is urging Kansas Republicans to drop a plan for removing elected leaders and groups representing women, Hispanics, African Americans and young adults from key committees.

The Republican National Hispanic Assembly issued a statement on Tuesday urging the state Republican Party and its chair, Mike Brown, to reconsider the vote made by the party's rules committee last week.
