Military lawyer to challenge Proctor

A Leavenworth attorney who specializes in military law has announced her candidacy to challenge Republican state Rep. Pat Proctor in House District 41.

Aimee M. Bateman, who spent a little more than 21 years in the Army before starting a private legal practice, is running as a Democrat for the seat that Proctor has held since 2021.
